Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
Daphnis Waters makes games. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit this website or get in touch with us, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, get in touch through our contact form.
The short version
- This website has no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and sets no cookies.
- The only personal information we ask for is in the contact form: your email address and your message.
- We use your email address and your message only to reply to you.
- Messages sent through the contact form are processed by Formspree (formspree.io) in the United States. Formspree may also record technical details such as your IP address.
- GitHub, which hosts this website, logs visitors' IP addresses for security. We cannot see those logs.
- We do not sell your information or add you to a mailing list.
Visiting this website
You can browse this site without telling us anything about yourself. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs and stores the IP address of each visitor for security purposes. We cannot see those logs, and GitHub does not give us any visitor statistics. GitHub describes its practices in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Contacting us
If you use the contact form, we receive the email address and the message you enter. If we reply and you write back, we also receive whatever you choose to send.
Please do not send sensitive information such as passwords, payment card details, health information or government ID numbers. We do not need sensitive information, and the contact form is not meant for sending it.
How we use your information
We use your email address and your message:
- to read what you have written and reply to you;
- to keep a record of our conversation with you while we deal with your enquiry.
We do not use your information for marketing, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell your information or pass it to anyone else. The only exceptions are the two companies that deliver and store messages for us (Formspree, for the contact form, and Google, which provides our email inbox) and any disclosure that the law requires us to make.
Where data protection law such as the UK or EU GDPR applies, the legal basis on which we handle your information is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
How long we keep your messages
Your messages are stored in our email inbox and in our Formspree account. We keep them for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then delete them from both places. You can ask us to delete your messages sooner at any time.
The contact form: formspree.io
Messages sent through our contact form are processed by Formspree, Inc. (formspree.io), a service that accepts form submissions and passes them on by email. When you press Send, your email address and your message go to Formspree, and Formspree forwards them to us.
The points below summarise what Formspree's own privacy policy says that is relevant to someone using our contact form. They describe Formspree's stated practices, not ours. Formspree's policy is written mainly for its own account holders, and it does not always say which parts apply to people who send a form on another website, so please read the full policy if any of these points matter to you.
- Technical details. Formspree says it may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, access times and the address of the page you came from. Formspree says it uses these details to prevent fraud, to keep its service secure and running, and to produce general statistics.
- Where your information is processed. Formspree says it uses information in the United States and in any other country where Formspree operates. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
- Selling. Formspree says it does not sell personal information to third parties.
- Sharing. Formspree says it uses other companies to help run its service, for example for security and for sending email, and that those companies may use personal information only for that work and must keep the information confidential.
- Legal disclosure. Formspree says it may disclose personal information when the law requires, for example in response to a court order or a lawful request from a public authority.
- Retention. Formspree says it keeps information only for as long as is necessary to provide its service and meet its legal obligations, and that it also keeps log files for safety and security.
- Children. Formspree says it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen.
- Cookies. Sending our contact form normally keeps you on our website. If JavaScript is turned off in your browser, sending the form takes you to a page on formspree.io instead, and Formspree says its website may use cookies.
For our contact form, Formspree acts as our service provider. The simplest way to see, correct or delete a message you sent us is to ask us. You can also contact Formspree directly at team@formspree.io or through Formspree's data request page.
Read the full Formspree Privacy Policy. On the date shown at the top of this page, Formspree's policy was dated 24 April 2022.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy of that information;
- correct that information;
- delete that information, including the copy held in our Formspree account;
- stop using that information.
Send your request through our contact form and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The contact form is not intended for children under thirteen. If you are under thirteen, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we learn that a child under thirteen has sent us personal information, we will delete it.
Our games
This policy covers this website only. On the date shown at the top of this page, our games are still in development and none has been released. Any game we release will have its own privacy information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date at the top.
